This beautiful family and I met two years ago when it was just Madelyn and Endor. Cielo was on the way and they could not be more thrilled to capture the memories of their love and excitement for her arrival. Fast forward through maternity/three month pictures and Cielo’s birthday (see pictures below)
My heart could not possibly feel any more blessed to be included in all these momentous occasions in their lives.
Baby #2 is on the way and again Madelyn wanted to include me in the fun. She gave me a call to set a date for pictures. Like anyone excited to hear the news, I asked if they are having a boy or a girl. They decided however, to wait until the baby is born to find this little detail out themselves. So until then, we have these pictures of the psyched growing family.
I hope that each and every one of you had a wonderful time over the holidays.
2012 ended on such a high note for my family. As you saw from the previous picture post, we found out we are having a baby. Our family couldn’t have been happier with the news.
When I made the announcement on Facebook, everyone was thrilled to hear. I received various messages and posts curious to know if I would be sharing the gender of the baby. So, I decided to share and post some personal pictures from the small gender reveal gathering we had with our family.
The theme was “will the next ruler of our hearts be… Prince or Princess?” I cut out little gold crowns and pasted them on mini popsicle sticks, so that everyone could vote what they thought. The crowns had a small “stone”, blue for boy and pink for girl.
Before we made the big reveal, everyone grabbed their voting crown and anxiously surrounded the cake. The idea for the theme came to me last minute, so I decided to bake the cake myself. I am by no means a baker… so please no critiquing my work ;) The answer to the baby’s gender was found in the cake’s center frosting. It was quite the memorable experience. Looking back, I was happy to share such a special moment with those closest to us.
For those of you expecting, I would highly suggest planning an event like this. The anticipation and the reactions are priceless! I’m so happy to have these little memories to look back on and share with all of you.
